Great trail and paved in sections from this parking area more than 4 miles is paved. Good for walking and riding. Nice plants, flowers and trees along the trail. Once connected the trail will be long.
It's a great way to enjoy the outdoors for anyone. Novice plus experienced bikers can ride in a friendly environment. It's clean. You'll see walkers, joggers, skaters, and dogwalkers. In the Cheshire to New Haven section, i saw an elderly woman carrying groceries.
Would love to see more porta-potties.
It can get a little crowded on weekends, but people are polite. It's great to see parents teaching their children the rules of the road.
And don't forget water.
Love walking the trail... If you get a chance stop in to the Milldale Train Depot fora little history lesson.
I walked over 20mi on this trail over the weekend. What a paved walking great trail. Benches,picnic tables even some bathrooms. Individuals added their own artistic flare too like free flowers, decorated benches and even free painted inspirational rocks ! One of the best trails anywhere and i didn't even begin to cover the whole thing. Very clean too !
Nice place to go walking, jogging or biking. Well kept.
