Bought a bedroom set and spent a lot of money. Bed coming apart so I emailed pictures to the associate that I spoke to. She said they would take care of it and she would get back to me as soon as she received the email with the pictures. I sent the email immediately and never heard back. After a week I called and the new person I spoke to couldn't find anything about it. I had the received email receipt. They told me they would look into it and get back to me (I gave my info and phone number again). Again, I received no call or correspondence back. I called back and spoke to someone who acknowledged the first email with the pics and everything requested. I was told it would be in on December 8th. December 8th came and went and after giving 5 additional days I called back. I was advised at that point it was not guaranteed for Dec 8th (as I was told earlier) and now we're still waiting on it. Told it WILL be in on the 2nd week of January. They're supposed to call but I'm sure I'll have to call them again. NEVER will I purchase anything from them again!!! (I do have to say the crew that came to the house to set up all the furniture we purchased [and it was a lot - a few rooms] were professional, courteous and fantastic)

My wife and I were shopping for new recliner chairs and were assisted by Mr. Richard Snyder. We purchased identical recliners. It was a great transaction, made even better by Mr. Snyder's extremely easy-going helpful advice and guidance. No high pressure; no steering toward more expensive items, which often happens in other stores. We did a lot of shopping around that day, and Pilgrim's selections of the kinds of chairs we were looking for were by far the best. Thank you, Mr. Snyder!
We got a mediocre (at best)deal on a couch we found out was discontinued. How did we find out? We purchased insurance on it. Accident happened, and we activated insurance. The insurance did not cover taxes, delivery, or removal of old furniture... I had asked specifically when I purchased, if they would bring us a new couch and remove the old one. I was told they would. Now, after paying a high price for a discontinued couch, we have to pay taxes, and delivery, and removal of old one. Second star because Ken was able to finagle costs so our insurance "payout" actually covered it. Edit: I noticed pilgrim responds when the review is blindingly positive.

However, in today's market where online furniture shopping and Amazon Prime is prevalent, it's a delight to know a great personality can lessen those options despite varying pricing or delivery advantages.
Just visited the Southington store and worked with Sales agent Crystal Jackson. Our family is looking to furnish multiple rooms due to a large construction project. Have not fully decided on furniture sets or even the company to purchase from -- but doing our homework now.
We will now consider Pilgrim Furniture over competing interests simply because of wanting to work with Crystal. Sometimes it's just that simple.
Update: After Amy reached out not only did she apologize she when out of her way to make it right. Although this transaction may not have started the best I appreciate their company reaching out and trying to rectify the situation. Makes me feel better after several purchases in the past with good experience. Thank you.
